About the Inspiration: Named after Wild Bill Hickok, this body butter honors the legendary gunslinger whose life ended with the infamous “Dead Man’s Hand” of Aces and Eights. Born James Butler Hickok in 1837 in Illinois, he became a folk hero of the American West, known for his roles as a lawman, gambler, and scout. Notably, he survived a dramatic bear attack in 1860, killing the beast with a knife after being mauled, and gained fame for his 1865 duel with Davis Tutt in Springfield, Missouri. Hickok was shot and killed on August 2, 1876, in Deadwood, South Dakota, while holding the Aces and Eights hand during a poker game, cementing his legacy in Wild West lore.
