How to care for your leather barrette:

The natural surface of leather has varying textures and shadowy furrows. Care is given to hide selection and pattern placement before cutting. Unique markings on the hide are a visually pleasing way to distinguish genuine leather from man made materials. Color variation’s occur when using the same dye color on two different hides. For example, dye color can appear darker or lighter from one barrette to the next. The reason for this has to do with the unique texture, density and moisture content of each hide. The leather is hand-dyed and so there are slight variations in hue from barrette to barrette. It’s best keep your barrette out of direct sunlight for long periods of time. Sunlight will alter the color of your barrette over time.

Use a damp cloth to remove dirt and dust once a week. Do not use soap! A leather conditioner or cream moisturizes the material so that it doesn’t dry out and crack. If you want to condition your leather hair wrap, we recommend every 6-12 months in normal humidity locations and every 3 - 6 months in low humidity locations.
