Each Shaving Bowl is meticulously crafted by hand, showcasing stunning colors and textures inspired by the desert and mountains we call home. Their journey into pottery began with a simple need for distinctive pieces for their artisanal cheese company. Unable to find the right items, they embraced the challenge, acquired an old pottery wheel, and taught themselves the art of ceramics. This passion has flourished into a commitment to crafting functional pottery that brings joy and beauty to your grooming experience.

Made from their custom blended stoneware, each shaving bowl is unique, reflecting the characteristics of handmade pottery. The bowls feature food-safe glazes, ensuring that they are safe and durable for daily use. Each bowl is designed with grooves on the inside to enhance lather-making, allowing you to whip up a rich, creamy lather with ease. We recommend pinching off a quarter-sized piece of our Kneeling Nun Soapworks Shaving Soaps and mushing it down into the center of the bowl. This not only helps the shaving soap last longer but also makes it easier to build a luscious lather.

Fired in electric kilns at Cone 6, their pottery achieves optimal microcrystalline development, resulting in beautiful glazes that highlight the natural qualities of the clay.
