A golden cleansing bar with Japanese persimmon extract (kakishibu / 柿渋), made for a fresher, cleaner-feeling wash.

🍋✨ Persimmon + Turmeric Tonic is for anyone who wants soap that does more than just smell nice. We use Japanese persimmon extract, also called kakishibu (柿渋) — fermented persimmon tannin traditionally used to help neutralize nonenal, the compound linked with age-related body odor. Turmeric-infused pomace olive oil adds a warm golden color and a skin-softening lather.

The scent is bright and clean: lemongrass, orange, lemon, and ozone up front, jasmine and green tea in the middle, and a soft light musk at the finish. Fresh, not heavy. Tonic-like, not perfume-y.

Our soaps never contain phthalates or parabens and are IFRA compliant. Each bar is at least 6 oz. We cut our soap by hand, so every bar is unique — you may not receive the exact bar shown in the photo. Weight and appearance will vary slightly from bar to bar.

🌿 To Store: Many people keep soap in the shower, but it lasts longer in a dry, ventilated spot that lets air circulate around the whole bar between uses.

Why these ingredients matter:
